We now know James Comey really did apply two different standards to Trump and Clinton

In James Comey’s FBI, it appears that one set of rules applies to Hillary Clinton, and another applies to Donald Trump.

FBI Director James Comey’s decision to send a vague letter to Republican congressional committee chairs suggesting that Hillary Clinton may — or may not — be facing further FBI investigation turned him into the most criticized man in Washington. As former Deputy Attorneys General Jamie Gorelick and Larry Thompson explained, the Justice Department operates “under long-standing and well-established traditions limiting disclosure of ongoing investigations to the public and even to Congress, especially in a way that might be seen as influencing an election.”

As it turns out, however, Comey did honor these traditions. Or, at least, he did so when he discovered information that could hurt Donald Trump.

Earlier this month, the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence concluded that the Russian government was behind recent hacks into the email accounts of Democratic organizations and high-ranking operatives that have embarrassed Clinton and her party. In a statement, the two agencies announced that “the U.S. intelligence community is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of emails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations,” and that “these thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process.”

Hunch says, this was in the works for several months, much like Reagan Carter Election. Remember,it leaked in the last week, and the Dems could not recover because the Media at the time blew the story. Here we go again. Same crap, new election cycle.

Notice how Comey and his operatives released via Web Site, the old Mark Rich Story and the MSM is running nuts over this like BREAKING NEWS.

Seriously, you could knock me down with a feather.

No matter the outcome of this election, I think Comey's done. Everyone knows that he can't be trusted in any way. No loyalty.

maybe involved in the most round about way, maybe knows Huma but they aren't sure so they will violate the Hatch Act on a "uh, I'da know." Like they are 4 years olds.

Maybe he did once, but he let his true colors show back in July.

He wasn't too kind in his comments then despite the end result. Then on Friday he drops a bomb 11 days before the election.

Rather than do what the FBI has pretty much always done and not comment on investigations, inquiries or whatever, he's shown his partisanship.

No one wants to call it like it is. Comey is a fucking partisan hack.

something else at work than being a partisan hack. He didn't live his career not being that way to suddenly become a different person.

I tend to think it could be more the new factors of extraordinarily extreme partisan pressure that didn't used to exist in this way, and that pressure has revealed weaknesses that weren't tested in the same way before. I still don't believe he deliberately has his thumb on the scale for Trump, more that the pressure and his ego have gotten to him.

He didn't earn the reputation he had by being a hack.

Dunno. Mostly I find it baffling.
