Hoping a Hillary landslide will put her over the top.
Denise is running against a Koch-backed Republican incumbent with far more money to play.
If anyone here has a few bucks left to contribute I can't think of a better choice than one of our own--DUer Denise Lang for New Mexico!

(53,339 posts)Denise and I have another connection that goes all the way back to the Vietnam War.
In our DU discussions we learned that Denise's late husband and I were in the same Army hospital at the same time, being treated for our wounds from Vietnam. Not just in the same hospital--but on the same floor.
Denise's husband, Mike, was on the amputee side and I was on the facial casualties side. But I visited the amp side and probably met Mike. Meeting Denise here and discovering our connection really blew me away.
So I hope you'll pardon me for my affinity for Denise. We are family.

Denise and I are family. How could I not support her?

(53,339 posts)She has been walking the neighborhoods and knocking on thousands of doors. That's what it takes when your opponent has all the money.
She's the first person to mount a serious challenge to the GOP incumbent, and she is working her ass off to do it--for us.
THIS is one of the downballot races that is important for Democrats. Replacing the Koch-backed GOP incumbent who wants to make New Mexico a 'right to work' state and turn public lands over to the state really is a BFD for Dems.
I just contibuted again. How about you? What's it worth to put a downballot state candidate over the top?

(53,339 posts)Backed by the Koch brothers and ALEC, she's actively working to turn New Mexico into an anti-union 'right to work' state and to turn federal public lands over to the state to escape restrictions on oil drilling.
That should give you some idea about why this downballot state lege race is important. We need more Denise Langs in these positions instead of ALEC stooges.
