This man is manifestly unfit for office.
A serial abuser of women, an inveterate liar, a racist.
Donald Trump is, as President Barack Obama has said, America's "home-grown demagogue".
That he secured the candidacy of the Republicans will stand as a shameful indictment of the once Grand Old Party. But it is this party that for years fanned the flames of division and hatred from which Donald Trump emerged.
