2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumNever forget these are the same people who voted for Palin
That alone disqualifies them from any discussion of who should be our next President.

(5,946 posts)the Trump voters I know, and I know a lot of them, are a mix of people.
1 people who never voted before. They seem angry. My niece just had a baby a very short time ago and was not going to vote. But in my talking to her husband, probing why he loved him some Trump, has moved her to register and vote for Clinton. She does not want to discuss it, but she could not stand his misunderstanding of what is versus what can be, like talking about how in business, a handshake won't work with Trump, heck he violates written contracts, I could not convince her husband that his salary was a written contract and how would he feel if at the end of the week, they paid him half of what they agreed to before he started, but my niece got it in a second.
2. republicans who are voting for Clinton
3. democrats voting Trump.
This will be a very weird time.
This calls for unusual action
My sister was dating her future husband when Goldwater ran. My sister got up early and voted and then she called her beau and told him she was voting after school and suggested he do it as well. they met for a quick dinner and then my sister distracted him with a movie or something until the polls closed, she had no qualms about keeping him from voting. that is how it is done.
