FL: African American Turnout exceeding 2012

I had a brief Twitter conversation earlier with Prof. Daniel Smith in Florida about African American turnout.

Total black turnout in Florida in 2016 will be higher than 2012. Mark it.
At 777k as of yesterday. Souls to polls today. VBM & ED to come

@RandySF45 sheer #s, absolutely. % of electorate remains to be seen. Topping 2012's 14% African-American share of voters is still possible

AA voters turn out. They may get to the polls slower this election but they will get there.

Taking down all of their stupid, offensive, disgusting Trump yard signs, that are polluting our highways and streets. After he looses of course. Can't wait!

even if slightly below 2012. Hispanics blowing the lid off the polls and most not Cuban plus college educated whites voting D at a higher rate than any time since the 50s.

Am I missing a downside?

Sure, it would make sense that it would be a bit lower than '08/12 because there was a real Obama surge.

But Trump is an enemy to all minority populations. So this doesn't surprise me much.
