Anyone who was in the military has heard

this countdown phrase "x number of days and a wake up".

Usually you start counting when you get orders to relocate. Maybe your return from deployment date gets announced or you get a new assignment or complete training - whatever

Once you know the date you start the count... 28 and a wake up, 27 and a wake up etc. etc.

Well folks all that's left now is the wake up.

If Democrats GOTV, the Republicans must GTFO.

At the remote AFB in Turkey where I was stationed, guys (all-male base) wore baseball caps that just said "SHORT" on them for the last week. When all you had was a wake-up, you'd hand your cap off to someone else.
