1. I'm glad she is trying, but frankly, there are just a bunch of selfish, terrible people

For 30 years, there has been a steady drumbeat of
"Government is the enemy"
" 'THEY' (the 'others') are the reason you aren't successful"
"Science is a hoax"
"America is exceptional -- we can dictate to the world -- we are better than everybody else"
"______ people (not you of course) are lazy welfare cheats and that's why your quality of life is suffering"
"If they look different from you, assume they are probably a terrorist"

and so on. While people like McCain and Romney had some of these messages, Trump is the first one to be NOTHING BUT the right wing caricature. Trump has made himself the embodiment of everything Limbaugh, Drudge, Britebart and that crowd have been saying for decades. And something like 45% of the country is right there.

We really are messed up as a nation. We really are 2933 Germany right now. Hillary (and especially Bill) have their faults. They are imperfect. This is not just an election. It seems very much like the last chance to save this country from the kinds of things that befell Germany. If 45% are voting for this evil man, we may not get another chance to stop it.

So Hillary is right about the things she says in that Twitter video. It will take much more than Hillary to turn back this industry of evil. Step one is electing Hillary, but what is step 2?
