Having been in bed with gun lobby all these years, the blood is on their hands, too. And, most people know that. They don't dare say anything right now.

They silence is just to allow time to pass and the spotlight of our collection consciousness to move on. Other than Chris Christy they didn't say much about Hurricane Sandy either. And when Christy praised President Obama they publicly censured him.

And if you recall they almost never say anything about tragedies like these. They just keep silent until it's time to help out and then they get all obstructive.
