Proud Public Servant
(2,097 posts)of the two from Florida (!), one from Louisiana(!!), and one from the !@#$ Gulf Coast of Mississippi who voted against it. Hypocritical douchebags.
NYC Liberal
(20,136 posts)Plenty of Repubs vote to screw over their own constituents.
I wouldn't be surprised if those ones have voted or would vote against aid for their own state.
Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)When aid goes to blue states like NY after a hurricane, it's pork for welfare queens.

Did I mention I hate redistricting?
Filibuster Harry
(666 posts)the states of NY, NJ, and CT give more to the federal revenue than they take in ... it is a double blow against
ALL americans. Because any disaster now can be a political statement. So take note of the idiots who voted "NO" and their states because the next disaster that happens in those states our democrat majority senate should all vote NO at first just to delay any funding.
SHAME ON THEM -- THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO WORK FOR US AND FOR THE GOOD OF THIS COUNTRY!!!!

(6,336 posts)There are towns near me that have streets that have not been opened since Sandy (I was on the road during the storm and did not return until 3 weeks later).
My (now former, fuck you redistricting) Congressman gave an awesome speech on the House floor saying that NJ had no problem responding to Katrina.
Filibuster Harry
(666 posts)be voting against monies used only for disaster relief to anyone in this country.
Our thoughts and prayers still with you and the other storm victims. My niece's friend lost their house due to Sandy. How does Paul Ryan and the other 67 explain their "no" vote to them.
Coward Rs. Everyone should take notice of the Rs who voted "no".

(26,060 posts)It's obviously not enough that we pay out far more in federal taxes than we ever see (that goes for NY, NJ & CT), now the parasitic states that get those tax dollars want to fuck us over - we will not forget this.
