FREEDOM-Some have made a mess of the message---bigotry--hate-and a lousy life based on fear
Martin Luther King did as much for whites ---or more, for that matter ---for all Americans. His “I have a dream “speech and non-violent approach freed white bigots from the bondage of hatred and bigotry. They became people that woke up in the morning with a different agenda. They no longer had to have a day filled with hate. Of course, we can see that some of them have not gotten the message yet and prefer to live with the mess of hate. The fathers of these poor men instilled them with hate and fear that paralyzes them. It is quite obvious to most of us that we are free of this nonsense. Their fears have cost them many elections, relationships and now relevancy. Dylan’s words really ring true in “the times are a changin’” but for these poor souls they continue to be enslaved by their fears. I am so grateful to my parents for growing up in a house that had no bigotry or hate. We practiced not just mere tolerance , but complete acceptance. It is still alive today and lives on in my children and grandchildren. What freedom we have!
