How are Democrats reacting.? With great temperance, as fucking usual?
Thanks.

(8,381 posts)Typical Circle Jerk. No new news rehashing of old news and rumors. Dems are reacting as they should, no news here, move along. Nothing more than Republicans politicizing tragic deaths.

(66,717 posts)All that matters is that they're having hearings. The repukes will point to the sessions and try to get us to believe that smoke and fire are the same thing.
Your average drooling moron of an American will fall for it. "Well, they're having hearings. Obama must have done something!"
Proud Liberal Dem
(24,498 posts)and most people outside of the GOP don't really seem to care. I've NEVER heard anybody on the Dem side, both in or out of Congress talk about it. Until or unless some high-profile Democrat starts getting worked up over it and/or there is some indisputable evidence uncovered of a massive Obama Administration cover-up of...........*something*, I'm not sure that this is going anywhere. Nearly every GOP-hyped *scandal* has fizzled out and so far Benghazi will, hopefully, soon follow suit. The fact that a GOP Senator (Corker) seems to be (mostly- as he is probably forbidden from being completely) satisfied with the Administration's response to Benghazi makes it even more likely that this is on its way out. People have too many immediate pressing concerns to get worked up by this IMHO

(260 posts)The Republicans' star witness is Gregory Hicks who was at the American Embassy in Tripoli. He got a call from Chris Stevens that the Benghazi compound was under attack. After Stevens died, he became the highest ranking American official in Libya and then got calls from Obama and Clinton.
After than, Hicks talked Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) without the State Department's lawyer being present. Hicks's superior has previously told Hicks that he doesn't have that permission. After the whole thing, he got an angry call from Cheryl Mills, Clintons chief of staff.
He then went and ask everyone why Susan Rice said on a show that there were demonstrations. He then said that he was "demoted", but his new job still has the same paid.
Hicks is also angry that C-130 weren't sent from Tripoli to Benghazi. Hicks speculates that had been C-130 in the air, the terrorists would have been freaking out and wouldn't have killed two security guards.
Basically, the conspiracy is that Hicks was "demoted" because he asked too many questions.
