REPUBLICAN HEALTH CARE - WHY IT COSTS SO MUCH.

Free-market, i.e., Republican health care, costs way more than any other kind. There are several reasons for this. Here is one:

On yesterday's 60 MINUTES, Steve Kroft investigated allegations from doctors that the hospital chain they worked for pressured them to admit patients whether their medical conditions warranted it or not.

The chain set goals mandating that a certain percentage of emergency room visits had to result in hospital admissions, thereby making more money for the hospital chain.

Lots of unnecessary admissions resulted in exposure of patients to hospital-borne illnesses.

Higher goals were set for older patients so that the chain could make a fortune on what a former FBI agent describes as Medicare fraud.

corporations are ruining the health profession and bankrupting our nation at the same time, out of pure GREED. These CEOs should be put in jail for fraud and fined heavily.

This is the debate that we should have been having during the Health Care Debate leading up to the passage of the Affordable Care Act (with an emphasis on Affordable). However this debate was deflected when a certain half term governor chose to interject herself into the debate talking about Death Panels making decisions about children with Downs Syndrome and it was all downhill from there.

The Free Market has been corrupted by dishonest CEOs. The only way to stop it is to drive a stake through the heart of "For Profit Health Care". As long as Health Care is a For Profit enterprise,there will always be CEOs and some Doctors practicing chasing profits and not Good Medicine. The sooner the better.

Anytime I've been a self-paying patient, I've walked away BILKED.

They smell blood. They gouge you.

It's corrupt, immoral, greedy.

Ought to be illegal.

Some just sit and monitor your situation until you either
get better or worse.
