2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTexas Governor Rick Perry Now Begging For Government Handouts (VIDEO)
Rhetoric not matching reality is a severe problem in many areas in Texas. On April 17tth, 2013 a fertilizer plant exploded in the town of West, Texas. Hours after the devastating explosion, Texas Governor Rick Perry was begging for federal assistance.
It is common knowledge that Perry is anti-government regulation. The plant that exploded was poorly regulated. Perry claims to hate government handouts so much so that he refuses to accept the Medicaid expansion of Obamacare in a state where over 25% of its citizens have no healthcare insurance. Yet, he wants a federal government bailout for the explosion in West Texas.

Have been damaged or destroyed but Perry blows his mouth instead of looking at the whole picture. He has blown himself up as a viable presidential candidate, shot his mouth off about Obama care, refused to set up a state exchange, wants to secede from the Union but the explosion is a good example why he should be working for the citizens of Texas. He wants to brag about the lack of regulations in Texas and the result in West, Texas was a ticking time bomb without inspections, too much product on sight and too little liability insurance. As a small air conditioning company not that 2 million in liability was required we have that much.
