Related: About this forumScott Brown and Joe Lieberman get new foreign policy gig
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2013/06/founder-of-new-national-security-advocacy-group-tied-to-new-york-state-pension-scandal.php?m=1Earlier this month, a new group called the Bipartisan Coalition for American Security announced that two former senators Scott Brown (R-MA) and Joe Lieberman (I-CT) would serve as its honorary co-chairs.BCAS is a non-profit, 501(c)(4) organization, advocating for greater U.S. interventionism, specifically to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, backed by increased military, diplomatic and military spending, to draw brighter lines between enemies and allies of the United States.
The organization is still in its infancy, and Brown and Lieberman are intended to assure it has real access to power and draw more money and talent in its direction.
The organization is still in its infancy, and Brown and Lieberman are intended to assure it has real access to power and draw more money and talent in its direction.
The political goals and financial sources of this new enterprise are, needless to say, suspect.
I would like to focus here, however, on the handsome rewards for political incompetence ..
Since when is the low-wattage Scott Brown an expert on foreign policy, or a draw for "more money and talent" ?! And why do we still have to listen to Joe Lieberman?

How long before the group starts advocating intervention in Iran?

(27,315 posts)2. Yep, because all we need is Senator Centerfold to be a leader on Iran.
Or to have another lobbying firm advocating more spending against Iran, for the matter.

I did not see that. Of course, this group comes with a great recommendation: the main investor has been convicted of financial wrongdoings.
You can count on Brown to make a stupid decision.
