I have not had any form of insurance in 15 years.

This is a minor rant, feel free to ignore it.

I'm one of those 'over qualified' people that can't get hired.
My better half's insurance just changed to allow Domestic Partnerships on their coverage.

But I'm 58. They literally said I was TOO OLD to be covered.

Fortunately I haven't real sickness in this time. What I did I treated myself. I lived.

But no dental. My teeth are about gone, I'm eating on stubs on the uppers, the lowers are falling apart.
Haven't had new glasses in 5 years.. I just make the fonts bigger.

All this depresses the hell out of me.. mornings I don't want to get up. But I do.

And these pieces of crap want to make it worse. May they fornicate themselves with a Saguaro cactus and rubber mallet.

-end of rant-

Picked some up about 12 months back and the relief is immense. Even the cheap stuff. Just knowing that at any moment something could knock you down physically and financially wears you out.

Yeah, these guys are living fucks, no doubt.

with some discounts and stretching payments over a year, or two?

Many physicians, and dentists, will give a discount when they do not have to deal with insurance.

Good luck.

... when my incisors were starting to come apart. They wouldn't even fill or pull without 2 or 3 cleanings first. I was in pain, open cavity, they wouldn't fill, wouldn't pull. And without insurance, cash on the desk only. I got discouraged then, went home, did a 10 day amoxicillan course, took some pain pills and waited for them to break off.

and it is very inexpensive. This may seem odd, but if you know of a local LDS stake center, the Bishops will usually help even non Mormons and there will be no proselytizing.
