I registered in New York when I lived there when I got my driver's license. When I moved to Kaua'i I registered ahead of time by mail so I could vote in the 2010 election for Gov.

It just makes sense to vote.. and yes, the GOP doesn't want us too because that's one of the ways they cheat to win.

thanks buster

agency that offers services to people ALSO has to offer voter registration. So, the Republicans can't holler too loudly about this being a subversive Obama plot, because it's actually the law.

Here's a letter from Daryll "Lightfingers" Issa to Sebelius, where he concern trolls over the possibility of people getting confused and thinking they HAVE to register to vote in order to get 'Obamacare.' (That's right, a high profile U.S. Congressman is calling the ACA 'Obamacare' in an official Congressional document.)

12. Exactly. In fact, the Democratic Party policy platform should just be to say: "We promise

to find out whatever Daryll Issa is against, and then DO that."

Sounds good, ya got MY vote.

asshattish, hack conservative pundits have while pushing the meme that Obamacare is only being used by poor people signing up for the medicaid expansion, and how registering poor people to vote will wreck our democracy because...well, you know...poor people SHOULDN'T be allowed to vote because they're 'the takers' and not 'the makers,' blah...blah...blah....

But yes, that's definitely making Republican heads explode. Especially after they went through all that trouble to kill ACORN.

IMHO, the only thing that would make this perfect is if you get issued with an official Government PHOTO ID CARD when you sign up for Medicaid. (You know...the type that you'll need to vote in all of those Red States where they're bringing in Photo ID voting (suppression) laws?)

I get it..... bad mouth and try to stop the ACA, AND implement voting rules that will hamper ability to vote. I despise them so much.....

Yes, the republicans are pissed because the ACA federal website offers the ability for people to register to vote. When I accessed my state's exchange site (Washington State) at the end of applying for my husband and I for coverage, it also asked if we wanted to register to vote at the end of the process (we are both registered to vote and have been for many years - me since 1984 and hubby since about 1986).
