There is a full court press PR campaign by the GOP against President Obama

President Obama seems to be out gunned and drowning under the intense GOP war being waged against him and his administration. Does his staff understand how to go on the offense? Playing defense does not win PR wars.

the President has been spectacularly unsuccessful in getting his own message out to the public, as well as pretty ineffectual in addressing the 24/7 war waged against him by the GOP. I'm not sure he's 'drowning' but he sure as hell isn't fighting back, either.

and it's driving the GOP further and further into the rabbit hole. In the short term, things look pretty bad in general but in the long term, the right-wing GOPers are continuing to drive their party into a ditch. I mean, I'm worried about 2014 but who are their "heavy hitters" for 2016? Who are their up-and-coming stars? And what do they stand for? The Republicans will always find themselves people to vote for them out of fear or a host of other "reasons" but their policy positions- when examined critically- aren't going to resonate with newer and younger voters.

16. No, Bush just had a heck of a good PR team back in his day.

Today, Ryan and Cruz and the GOP use the press to attack President Obama. They do it consistently and quite well.

Bush's rating dropped faster than Cedar Point's Demon Drop after his high on 9/11. In no sense of the phrase " good PR" can be attributed to the Bush administration. I chalk this entire thread to pessimism and perfectionism.
