Democrats don't know how to win. He played a clip of Obama's announcement today and it was flat. Tweety is rarely right but Eugene Robinson and Alex Wagner agreed.

... don't tell them that 234K of those 288K "jobs" were from the birth-death model adjustment, which always exaggerates job gains in April and May, wouldn't want any reality to disrupt the merryment.

And BTW, THERE IS NO RECOVERY, for the 99% that is.

... in your world being high is a fine substitute for knowing the facts. If you are in the 99% you can afford to be a pollyanna but I'm betting you cannot.

Please either refute my assertion about where the 288K "jobs" came from or be quiet.

Yes, I heard Tweety say that, right after I wrote this!

And 2: of course things aren't perfect, and we can always find the fly in the ointment. We all choose to see the glass half-full or half-empty.

I am well over 50 and was laid off / downsized a couple times since the recession. At almost 60 yrs. old I am starting a new career. Most jobs in my town are minimum wage, or barely over. I've seen people with MAs here making $35K.

Things are by no means great in my personal financial circumstances, and I'm extremely dismayed at wealth inequality. I work on the issue every day as a volunteer for a non-profit legal aid provider.

I am encouraged by the economic news of yesterday!

This WAS good news. No doubt. Obama is SMART. He's not banking it on ONE especially good month. He wants a hat trick. Let's see a real TREND of over 200K jobs for THREE months. That brings us to July. If we get that, then look out ! Here comes the whooping it up. And, then people will be PAYING ATTENTION to the politics of it. No one is paying attention yet. You don't want to whoop it up too loud too soon. I think we're going to have to have those THREE good months in row. And when we do, YOWZA !

PS: We have had MANY months now of net job growth. The problem is, not enough people were feelings it, and it has been too slow. But if we can get THREE in a row of especially high job growth, then we HAVE IT.

Patience grasshopper, patience.
