Hillary did NOT suggest Obama's Problem Is..."NOT REACHING OUT To Republicans"

TOM KLUDT – JULY 7, 2014, 8:00 AM EDT

In talking up her husband's ability to work with Republicans, Hillary Clinton made an observation last week that some have interpreted as a veiled criticism of President Obama.

-snip-

The Journal's Peter Nicholas highlighted that quote as an example of Clinton "distancing herself from President Barack Obama" ahead of a widely anticipated 2016 run. Nicholas also noted a comment Clinton made during a televised event on CNN last month.

-snip-

Nicholas was careful to note that Clinton "hasn't repudiated Mr. Obama" and that her "comments aimed at highlighting her differences with Mr. Obama are often implied rather than stated bluntly."

Scroll to the bottom of the piece and you'll find Clinton sounding far less critical (and cryptic) on the current president's bipartisan record. Nicholas quoted Clinton at the Colorado event as saying that Obama has "worked so hard and reached out so often, and it gets discouraging because you don't feel like you're getting much back."

"I don't think you can ever stop. And I think that's part of whoever the next president is just has to be ready to do," she added.

"I don't think you can ever stop. And I think that's part of whoever the next president is just has to be ready to do,"
she seemed to imply by this statement that Obama had stopped.

Yes I know that Hillary will be attacked for what she says, like when she said that Bill & her were broke when they left the white house, so it is important that she becomes more mindful of her speech because her words will be used against her.

She said this last month, and it went unnoticed until the WSJ writer decided to do this little hit piece on her, cobbling together whatever statements he could find

Any thread on Hillary has them running in a tizzy. Then Media Matters or any other LW site clarifies what she actually said, not the RW talking points, and it's crickets from the CDS crowd. The clarification and debunking of the RW talking points just don't suit their need to trash the Clintons.

They believe every BS RW lie told about Clinton. Facts are optional. The RW talking points are all they need to hear to start the diatribe against Clinton.

And then, they ignore the reality of what ACTUALLY happened.
