Rand Paul wins the CPAC straw poll!

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) — Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has won the Conservative Political Action Conference's annual presidential preference straw poll.

Pollsters announced Saturday that Paul won 26 percent of the votes in the annual survey, giving Paul his third consecutive win in as many years.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker came in second, with 21 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz came in third in the contest with 11.5 percent, followed by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson with 11.4 percent and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with 8.3 percent. All of the other names listed received under 5 percent.

But then I was hoping for Herman Cain to run in 2012.

The GOP never gives us fun candidates.

possibly win. Republicans fear Hillary, and probably it's fair to say that at least many Democrats fear Bush, not the least reason of which is the potential to steal the election. Glad the nutjobs have taken care of that little worry.

Actually makes me feel a bit better about a possible Warren candidacy, even though I prefer she stays where she is. I mean can you imagine a Warren/Walker debate? That just gives me a warm feeling. I mean, what's he got on her...that she's from Massachusetts?

Oh, I hope it's Walker in any case.
