John McCain’s Entire 2008 Opposition Research File on Mitt Romney

<snip>

ECONOMIC ISSUES

State spending increased at well over rate of inflation under Romney’s watch, estimated at 24% – more than$5 billion – over Romney’s final three years.

Under Romney, Massachusetts dramatically underperformed the rest of the nation in terms of job growth.

Romney has been criticized by experts for failing to deliver on issues of business development and economic growth after selling himself as the “CEO governor.”

2006 report issued by quasi-public Massachusetts Technology Collaborative warned the state was losing its grip as leader in “innovation economy” and that tech job was alarmingly slow.

I have no doubt that a disgruntled GOP operative, somewhere, has been thinking what the rest of us have for years: The Republican Party is no longer flirting with fascism, but has embraced it.

Whoever you are, thank you!!!

Romney quadrupled gun licensing fees

■Romney took no position on estate tax issue in 2002 and signed 50% increase in state cremation fee, which observers called “hidden tax on the dead.”

If they keep this sort of thing up, it's going to be an easy election, though let nothing in that statement imply that a lot of hard work won't be needed on our part.

Some of the research, geared at slamming Romney's onservative credentials in the 2008 primary, actually makes me like him a little better, even though it shows him to be a complete opportunist. The stuff in the business section is fascinating, with Romney involved with Chinese communist businesses, Iran, outsourcing, etc. It seems there has been no nasty thing going down in the US economy that Bain has not profited from.

I am sure, though, that the Obama campaign already has a better file than this.

You know, the ones that clean all of his houses, so that he only has to spend $20,000 a year for housekeeping.

And let's not forget the "surrogate mother" who gave birth to Romney's grandkids.

If what you say is true, then Romney would have to be stupid to run for national office. There's no way someone so stupid, with a messed up family life, sex scandals and children with mysterious origins would make it through the Republican vetting process.

Oh, wait....

I'm presently collecting information like this for a few videos I plan to do during the campaign season, and this literally saves me hours and hours of research time. Finding it all together in one huge package makes me think I'm going to have more time to have a really fun summer! Thank you so much for posting this treasure trove of Romney idiocy.
