I wish that Romney would select Paul Ryan as his running mate

two reasons why:

1) It connects Romney to the Ryan Budget in a big way with its cuts to Medicare and Social Security.

2) With Ryan not running for re-election to congress Dems have a fair shot at his seat.

I suspect Romney is going to nominate someone safe, but camera-friendly. Palin with an IQ in more digits than one, gender unimportant.

We have the "black guy and the old guy." Never mind that they are a thousand times better for the country. Fox and Fiends (and therefore the Foxsuckers) won't care. Wealth you'll never have, privileges you couldn't dream of, and a circle of "pals" who can order you around because together they have more money than most medium sized countries---all nicely packaged in a media ready-to-eat TV dinner. Too much of America goes for that.

Romney will go for the hair, not what's under it.

Ryan would be the antidote for all who see little difference between the parties. Ryan brings home the issues to all those who still think "The Republicans would never do that..."

They look too much alike, except that Ryan looks like a younger Romney. They both look like the groom on top of a wedding cake. Perfect suits, stiff backs, thick dark hair (Romney is now salt & pepper), Ken-doll-like, straight pointy noses.

OTOH, Ryan is certainly more exciting that some of the other white bread choices Romney is considering.

Still, I think they'll go with someone who isn't as much like Romney as Ryan is, on a superficial level.

On a deeper level, they're very different, but people won't notice that.

as "that guy that proposed getting rid of Medicare." I believe that is all we would have to say to get huge numbers of people to rise up and vote against the ticket! Certainly seniors or near seniors would have a sh*tfit on the spot...
