Unlike Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders Never Says, 'When I Become President, I Will Answer Your Question'

One attribute shared by Ronald Reagan and Barrack Obama is the ability to communicate a message. While their messages differ politically, the speeches of both two-term presidents seem to hit the core of what voters were looking for during their respective eras. When a person is straightforward and forthright in their words, even a xenophobic and nativist New York billionaire can reach the hearts and minds of his constituency. After so long of being forced to hear vapid talking points and carefully crafted political rhetoric, Americans yearn for honesty and clarity in leadership.

This is why Hillary Clinton's style of communication is not only vague, but lends itself to criticism. A Washington Post article titled "Hilary Clinton's ridiculous hedge on Keystone XL" quotes the former Secretary of State's answer to a simple question about her stance on the pipeline:

about not running for POTUS. If they can't be honest about their own candidates, what makes you think they can be honest about one they don't like?

If she was so intent on allowing the President to finish his term successfully, where's her full-on support of the Iran accord, where she was also involved? Or maybe she deploying this excuse for non-answers selectively, depending on the issue, ya know.

I mean "Really"

I can't wait until her ordained coronation ensues so the House Hearings can begin. 24/7 News cycle "Hilary Email Server hacked" - "Hilary Sensitive Classified Information" - "Hilary in violation of protocol" - "House calls for charges" all the way up to the general election

She knows better than anyone the shitstorm cometh, how about building a little goodwill and trust with the base right now?

I admit to being nervous. I don't see her losing the nomination, nor do I see any indication that she's doing what it takes to deal with her negatives. She's at Donald Trump-like levels on trustworthiness, and claptrap like this only makes things worse.

Jul 2015

Never. It's not just I think they can't be fulfilled, HE knows they can't. His rhetoric is designed to fire up his constituency, but they are fired up with empty promises.....are those types of falseties, honest? He misleads his constituency with lines like "Ill never accept PAC money", when the reality is that no candidate can. He just pretends at a more noble stand with financing.

Of course he answers, he makes it up as he goes along and promises the world. Hillary is trying to be honest in that she won't undermine her last boss until the Keystone thing is finally resolved and won't state a lie just to get a vote. Obama has already vetoed the pipeline once.

BTW I haven't used HuffPO as a source since they strung Obama out to dry, after only his 2nd year in office, and Arianna Huffington bad mouthed Obama over and over and over on MSNBC. Note: she hasn't been on for a while, I wonder why?. I don't know what their real agenda is.

While I understand why Hillary said it, and I have respect for her doing so, it is a fair distinction and worthy of debate. I personally think she should opine on Keystone. I feel really confident she supports it, as many do, but she is giving the President his opportunity to work on it without her interference. While many see this as unacceptable, I promise there are more huge Obama supporters who find this to be a position of respect. I also think it is going to go better for her in the debates than most think if it isn't worked out by then. The ways she will address this in front of cameras, without taking a stand, will have many Obama supporters standing up cheering. To be clear, most making issue of this are also the ones who find very few positive things to say about Obama. Obama is bigger than some think. Obama support is bigger than some think.
