McCotter(R-MI) Resigns, Citing ‘Calumnies, Indignities And Deceits’!

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI) abruptly announced his resignation from Congress Friday, following what he called a “nightmarish” past month. The move caps two rough years of his own unforced errors for the 10-year congressman.

Michigan's teabagger dominated legislature gerrymandered our districts in the Detroit area to ensure that no D has a chance of winning with the possible exception of a safe, minority held district in the City of Detroit for John Connyers. Our new districts look like strands of multi-colored spaghetti thrown at a wall.

McCotter's district was already pretty R leaning, it is worse now after redistricting. There is only one R on the primary ballot now, a teabagger. I think there was another one running, but apparently I was either wrong or this one dropped out.

I'll be in the former Congressman's former future district after this election. It won't be pretty. I'll miss being represented by Gary Peters.

It would be nice, but I don't see it happening. I haven't even heard of the D's who are running.

Many a politico will regale their guests with this anecdote -- of the perfidy of this pusillanimous cur who, in his quest to qualify for the ballot, demonstrated such rank incompetence as to be considered asinine!
