That's solid, but wish it were more in the 15-20 point range. WI_DEM Jul 2012 #3

11-points or 11-percent it's just another way of putting it. WI_DEM Jul 2012 #5

Obama's coattails would put him where he belongs.

for instance, here is an article from the Hill earlier this month regarding Obama opening a 'five-point' lead (another term for five-percent lead):

President Obama has opened a 5-point lead over presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, his largest advantage in the Gallup daily tracking poll since April.

Just thought that would be a different calculation. For example, if the poll were 35 vs 65, and there was an 11% increase, wouldn't that calculate to a change to 38.85 (or 72.15 on the high end). Whereas 11 points would be 46 or 76? Am I just dense? Thanks for your patience! Stats aren't my strong suit, obviously.
