2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBill Clinton on Obama's Success with Job Creation
Bill Clinton just stated in an interview with Erin Burrnet, Obama has created 40%
more jobs in the last two years than Bush created in the last seven years and eight
months of his presidency.
Erin Burrnet's question was, why isn't this message getting out? I intensely dislike
Burrnet but this is a good question.

Can be seen very clearly.
All this does not happen without a plan.
Moving from bush era bottom of barrel to now.
If that is not growth in job what is.
Why is so many on DU always talking about no seeing policy from Dem.
Gee did that just happen by itself.

intended to ask why the messaging is unknown to the
average DU member. Excuse the assumption on my part
that DU is a highly intelligent and well informed electorate
quite aware of the available graphs. The question is asked
of the messaging, the political chatter repeated in the media'
on the internet, in campaign ads or the emails passed around.
Educate yourself on showing some politeness when posting.

(296 posts)What is more tax cut for the rich but just merely more income disparity.
What is cutting in safety net so call austerity cut but taking moneys for everyone and giving more to the wealthy
What is privatization into profit of basic services and amenities but transferring wealth to the wealthy
It is all about knowledge and how it get distributed.
However I do admit America got talent is more fun than reading or seeing such boring stuff

Since President Obama's economic policies ended the George W. Bush gifted Great Recession, halted staggering monthly job losses that approached 800,000, and returned the nation to positive job growth in record time he has enjoyed a private sector job creation rate that exceeds the 1st term job creation record of ANY Repulican President in history.
Below is a table which shows job creation by President for ALL terms served. Reagan's record in his first term in ofice was 109,000 per month. Reagan inherited stellar job creation from President Carter of 216,666 and by the end of his 1st term, cut it in nearly in half. President Obama inherited the deepest drop in job loss since the Great Depression and has since April of 2010 outperformed every Republican president 1st term record on job creation.
When examining the record of job creation we must look where President Obama started out to fully understand how far he has taken us as a nation down the road to recovery.-end of clip

(2,312 posts)The blue line is tracking jobless claims. Job loss was skyrocketing under the previous administration's policies, and has been steadily declining since President Obama's economic policies took place. The next time you hear that the President's stimulus failed, call bullshit, call it out loudly.
And then think of how much more successful the President's efforts to increase job creation could have been had we had even a little co-operation from the other side of the political divide.
