Bernie Sanders unveiled a plan Today 9/17/15 to ban privately run jails and prisons, which he says have a “perverse incentive” to increase the number of incarcerated people in the country.

I have read about these horrific institutions for years and what goes on in them. The Private Prison Ind writing our laws to extend sentences, to increase mass incarceration for profit.

It is a tragedy that they were allowed to exist for so long.
