2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBernie draws 5x as many people to his rally as Hillary did 2 days before at same place!
Tell me again how Hillary is Miss Inevitable & Bernie can't win? Seems to me like the Hillary supporters are the ones who haven't got the message - the times they are a changing!

(11,366 posts)Then why make it public? Isn't the point of a public event to get your ideas in front of as many people as possible?

(14,195 posts)Or excite them. That's why her events are so small... Even her "official announcement" in NYC was a small venue and the overflow areas were EMPTY.
But lordy she CAN bring in the $$$..... The 1% know she has their back!

(26,449 posts)They are all "I meant to do that!" as they collect themselves and strut off.

(17,656 posts)She's not in to having thoughtful discussions, either.
She just holds these events so she can collect the checks.

Exactly opposite of Bernie, who is climbing in the polls as more people hear his message!

(199 posts)Hillary gererates a ton of enthusiasm, unfortunately that enthusiasm is on the right side of the aisle, and they will be coming out to vote against her.
The only thing that the right probably hates more than Obama is Hillary, and they are frothing at the mouth to be able to get out and vote against her. Do not underestimate the amount of people that will only be voting for that reason.

(9,494 posts)I just want to get this straight. Because I don't like to be accused of lying and I am a life long Democrat. If you are sure that Bernie has never claimed to be a Socialist. Type it out right here please.
Otherwise, it isn't a talking point. It is the truth.

(26,549 posts)In the cartoon, Sanders is actually holding a "Socialist" sign, and you claim that means "he never called himself a Socialist"?
If you're thinking of making a post that dumb, just stop. It makes you look really foolish.

(9,494 posts)Has Bernie Sanders ever called himself a Socialist? It must be some sort of big secret! I would think he and you would be proud of it!

(26,549 posts)You're obviously trying to set it up as a smear, ignoring the fact that the cartoon already listed it as a "smear" he does not hide from.
Why, exactly, should I play the stupid game you're trying to play?

(55,981 posts)crossover support that H.Clinton will ever get.
If you want a Democrat in the WH, better support Sanders. He has far less baggage.

From either side. It's like some people have to try extra hard to convince themselves.

You think that Bernie's rallies are large now.....just wait until next year.
uberblonde
(1,215 posts)He drew crowds of 40,000. Guess that's why he won.

Just keep her out of the public at large, keep her at her $2700 a plate Dinners with Banksters and don't forget the private, by invitation "Listening!" get togethers.
The longer she's out of sight, the better for Bernie as he is rallying Americans for real change.
Go Bernie!

(5,204 posts)Hillary doesn't have rallies where Bernie did, because that makes the comparison too easy.

(10,721 posts)As for the argument someone else made about Clinton inspiring right wingers to vote against her in the general election, that's a valid point. Clinton is extremely polarizing with a poor favorable:unfavorable ratio, and I think that has to worry folks. While there is a valid leftist critique of Clinton, there is also a completely irrational right wing hatred of all things Clinton.
