Snarky pro-Rmoney email: where you sign your checks.

Here is a snarky email I received from a friend this morning (who happens to make most of his living from military contracts), followed by my response:

One should always be prepared. So, if some one asks you what the main difference is between most of the Obama supporters,
and Romney supporters, instead of stammering, and stuttering, and looking for an answer, just tell them that the Romney
supporters sign their checks on the front, and the Obama supporters sign their checks on the back.

My reply:

Well, thanks for that observation.

I'll try and pass it on to the ….

2,445,000 active uniformed employees of the U.S. military and their families;

680,049 civilian employees of the U.S. military and their families;

833,616 National Guard and Reserve members and their families;

21 million veterans who are or are expecting to receive benefits;

and

the recipients (and their families) of $200 billion of taxpayer funded military contracts this year;

--- ALL of whom are signing the "their checks on the back."

themselves. If the COO signs the checks it is their job. They are not giving their personal money. It's a very elitist notion to think that the signer of a pay check is any more worthy them the person who accepts the word of the dispenser that they will own up to their commitment of payment.
