Related: About this forumIt will be fun watching the Bernie lovers take aim at Biden.
I already see it happening.

(26,549 posts)Clearly Sanders supporters should love a guy who voted for the AUMF, made bankruptcy much worse, put Thomas on the SCOTUS and voted for an amendment to overturn Roe!

(45,082 posts)That's the nature of the beast. Biden isn't going to run though so it's irrelevant.

(16,685 posts)He's the same as Clinton on policy, less exciting, and we make no history with his candidacy. If he's "plan B" then just hand the White House keys to the pukes right now.

(7,865 posts)The real rage against Biden comes more from the Hillary camp.
Personally, as a Bernie supporter, I do not think Biden is going to run.

(47,803 posts)It's already started. Clinton has already shifted responsibility for her vote on the bankruptcy bill by blaming it on Biden's advice.

That is some wishful thinking, IMO.
Unless you really honestly believe that the only reason Bernie has supporters is because they "hate Hillary". You would be wrong, but I have seen that expressed elsewhere, that the only reason people support bernie is because they hate Hillary, and the issues do not matter.

(23,664 posts)But I knew that Biden was the chairman of the senate judiciary committee and the guy who groveled to Clarence Thomas during his confirmation hearings.
That was a shameful performance.

(5,815 posts)I wish him well in whatever he decides to do at the end of his vice-presidency. It's hard to dislike him personally. It's easy to dislike some of the things he's advocated - especially in regards to average Americans' financial well-being.

(13,058 posts)Hillary Rodham Clintons campaign, increasingly worried about the threat of a challenge from Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., is making a sudden and urgent effort to throw roadblocks into his path.

(6,994 posts)About that because in all probability Biden is not running. If he runs he will wait until after debate? So then what will be next reason for delay?
I think the corporate media is pushing the idea that he is running but that idea is running out of steam

(12,655 posts)that's the wonderful thing about having fantastic policies that people support. You just have to keep talking about them and point out the differences between your policies and the others. no reason to aim to anybody. But I understand it's difficult for Hillary supporters to understand since her candidacy is so void of substance all that is left is aim and destroy
must be a tough way to campaign

(59,503 posts)Here there is a big difference - on issues between Bernie and Biden. I assume that any attempts to win people from Biden to Bernie will be based on issues. By that I do not mean phony issues ginned up for politics, but two very very different voting records. Bernie has been as far to the left as any Democrat -- and Biden was slightly to the right of HRC - with the likes of Evan Bayh.
I assume that most Bernie supporters will have no trouble keeping things to difference on issues, while being fully aware that Biden is a very nice man, with great integrity.
Meanwhile, he and HRC pretty much occupy the same political space -- and both have strong claims to experience at the highest level of government. There are major differences - HRC is a woman and a reason she is having problems is that she is seen as having baggage. So, where do you think Biden's supporters have to go ... and why do I think the Clintons will fire back in kind?
