Why it makes sense that Hillary is getting the union endorsements.

Bernie is 100% pro-union, full stop, and when he is president he'll do everything within his power to fight for them and for the working class. Hillary, on the other hand is playing a different game, and the union bosses know that if they don't endorse her, she wouldn't hesitate to exact some sort of retribution on them if she became president. So if you were in the position of endorsing one or the other, would you go with the one who is going to give you support no matter what, or are you going to hedge your bets and go with the one who might cause trouble down the line. Its a pragmatic endorsement, spineless, but not without its sick sort of logic. Just my 2 cents.

Unfortunately that isn't always whats best for union members. It looks like this year they're starting to speak out, since the obvious choice is being overlooked.

She will side with big business against labor regardless. She isn't even coopting Obama's comfortable shoes whopper. I don't think the union rank and file are paying much attention to the bosses grandstanding.

But shortsightedness seems to afflict most people these days, it isn't surprising.
