(38,613 posts)I'm so far from any significant population center (except for fish and birds, maybe!) that I may be home alone unless I can persuade a friend to join me.

(40,656 posts)I can't wait. I just got told that Hillary already won and that because I want Bernie that it is the equal to a unicorn that farts glitter. I really worry about some people around here.
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)His ability to inspire belief in real change is a significant part of my hope for the future, and even more the response to his message. I'll be rooting for him, and them, too. I want each and every Democratic candidate to look wonderful compared to those in the GOP clown car.
lovemydog
(11,833 posts)I think Bernie Sanders will be fantastic. His policies and integrity will shine.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)It's going to be a post-tornado, reply-hurricane, and probably something related to an earthquake due to overload.
I really like O'Malley . I hope he does well in the debate!
Peacetrain
(22,878 posts)But we have actual candidates and not personalities.. so I hear what you are saying.
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)a very good alternative choice for Bernie supporters, as well as HRC supporters.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)and he has a solid platform.
You aren't going to hear me badmouth him - he's a credit to our party.

(65,180 posts)I'll be watching.. I can never stand watching the Republicans debate though. Blood pressure gets too high. Anyway good luck to all our candidates.
Peacetrain
(22,878 posts)Good luck to our guys! Now we will show them how a debate is supposed to be conducted on actual ideas!!
lovemydog
(11,833 posts)A hearty 'Bravo!' to all who share this sentiment.

(22,878 posts)You guys have a great time too.. will be fun to rehash it later that night or the next day..
Bluenorthwest
(45,319 posts)he's got plenty of chops and appeal. I think it will be a good night for O'Malley, I say this as a Sanders supporter. I also think it will be a good night for the other candidates and for the Party. Our line up will look like a field of candidates, they will sound like persons of substance and dignity. The contrast to that other Party's recent debate format reality shows will be dramatic and for Democrats supporting any of the candidate I think that contrast should be a delicious source of pride.
Have a great time.
Peacetrain
(22,878 posts)I think it will be a good night for all of us... show the republicans how to debate..
askew
(1,464 posts)that night. I am hoping to come home to lots of good O'Malley news.
I expect the media to spin the debate as a win for Hillary like they did in 2007-08 but the voters won't agree. I expect O'Malley to get a huge bump out of the debate.
Peacetrain
(22,878 posts)Because Martin O'Malley has so many good thought ways to achieve his positions.. have a great time at the birthday askew.. and I am sure you will be able to check in here later in the evening or next day and catch all the news about the outcome.
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)front runner (boring!), but America loses when they do. BTW, the first 2007 debate was considered boooring by the media, sadly lacking in the attacks the networks are trying to whomp up this season. Let's hope all our candidates disappoint them again this time.
lovemydog
(11,833 posts)I'm still undecided but I wish you all the best. I think Martin O'Malley will do quite well in the debates. I'm looking forward to watching all the candidates.
Peacetrain
(22,878 posts)But I think all our candidates are going to do well.. We have a party with good candidates who are informed and understand what it means to govern.. Honestly I think O'Malley is the best because he has laid out such good ways to implement his plans.. but you can't go wrong with any of them in my book.. its who you can relate to the most in the end.. and we are finally getting to see them debate!! I am so excited

(9,497 posts)to support a friend who has just finished with chemo and has the all clear for now. We are raising money for wonderful hats for chemo patients to wear during their hair challenged times. It feels like something Bernie would be happy about being by passed for!

(11,833 posts)Supporting a friend who has just finished with chemo and raising money for hats for chemo patients - that can't be beat. By the way, you'll be able to watch the full debate later, either on c-span or on c-span online. So you can support your friend and catch the debate later. Have fun at your party.

(9,497 posts)Will be there with another close friend who is losing her battle. So bittersweet. But the moments we have are all the moments we get. I can only stand in awe on how life is so tragically sad and yet so immensely wonderful.
