2. I have trouble believing 60% of Dems want our next Dem president to compromise with Repubs

Granted, Dems as a whole are far more pragmatic than the uncompromising Repubs. Still, that number seems to be a good 20-30 points higher than what my limited view of the country would suggest.

the next president to continue Obama's best policies and expand upon them further. I don't see a big contradiction in that.

I'm still undecided for the primaries. I'm looking for who I feel will do the best job at strengthening and expanding upon social security, the Affordable Care Act, continue expanding civil rights, continue strong diplomacy as the first option in international relations, raising taxes on the rich, lowering taxes on the poor and middle class.

At this point I feel O'Malley, Sander and Clinton can all do that quite well. They will need a more strongly liberal Congress. I also feel the democratic nominee will win the presidency.

Much of the anger and personalization that fronts for 'debate' here in GDP is misplaced. Our anger should be focused on republicans. I think more than anything, it's a demonstration that some people just really enjoy arguing. Or that that really think they will change a lot of minds by typing a bunch of mean things. Usually, doing that just makes the typist more pissed off.

the worst healthcare system in the world, perpetual war, the end of public education, more drilling, h1b visas, TPP, and domestic spying?

Time for this fifty year democrat to become an independent I guess

14. Well to be fair, Obama managed to make some minor improvements to healthcare.

I take this poll as meaning that obamacare was a step in the right direction and they'd like to see things continue that way to a greater degree. Unfortunately, I don't think most americans put too much thought into the more abstract goings on, like the TPP and drilling, but maybe I'm selling them short.

The few LW gloom and doomed are as wrong as all the RW gloom and doomers.....remember 2008, now there was a gloom and doom year....and then America elected Obama.

TPP, and not fighting for the public option, coal and oil exports, arctic drilling, fracking, slow on minimum wage, risky on social security.

I voted for a community organizer from Chicago who was going to change the way Washington worked.

"Organizing for America" was supposed to be the ongoing thing. Instead they used OFA to silence other groups about Keystone pipeline, and to shill for the TPP.

Obama did a lot of good things. But you can't serve two masters. You can't serve Wall Street and serve the people at the same time.

Pick a side.

Sanders who will most likely be to the left of Obama's policies

Biden who would be an Obama third term

or Clinton who will be slightly to the right of Obama's policies.
