I Will Support the Nominee, Whether it's Hillary or Bernie!

The Democratic Party has a great opportunity dropped into their lap; the GOP is destroying themselves!

We have a great opportunity to show the American People, especially the swing voters, that the Democratic Party is the better party. We must be unified and support our nominee.

Now, I know there is a divide between the Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders supporters. We may not agree on everything, but we agree on most things. We have two very strong candidates who, when polled, would beat Donald Trump and the rest of the republicans in a landslide. We should be ECSTATIC about our situation!

We CANNOT afford to have a civil war and make ourselves look just as weak as the republicans. We need all hands on deck. We should not put ourselves in the mindset of picking the lesser of two evils, but we should choose to get the most of what we need. Cynicism is what helped get Richard Nixon and George W. Bush into the White House. If you plan to stay home on Election Day because your preferred candidate lost the Democratic nomination, you had better get used to saying...

Get ready for it...

"PRESIDENT TRUMP"

(I even made myself vomit by saying that!)

So remember, whether you want to keep your Union card and issue more to others, see action being taken on climate change, restore and protect our civil rights, protect and strengthen our social safety nets, or avoid another quagmire war in another part of the world, we must stand in solidarity behind the Democratic nominee.

Before I get off of my soap box, let me shout this at the top of my lungs:

CLINTON and/or SANDERS 2016!!!

And remember,

Stay alert, stay active.

You can't call them 'PUMAs' because they're not Democrats to start with.

The management needs to identify them as what they are: Disrupters.

I will vote for the Democratic Nominee. Period.

I am a Democrat at Democratic Underground.

to vote?

Do you guys post these OPs so you can wring your hands and grumble? The answers are usually the same.

I see your pledge and I agree to vote for H
Don't ask for a pledge, this is not primary day
I won't ever vote for h
but mainly

BOREDOM.

Wait until the debates are done, after the new year when polling will be a bit more realiable and then make your push.

You know by the time the Tuesday in November comes along, most of us are going to be voting for the primary winner on the ballot.

This stuff is cranky, and it actually does more harm to your objective.

If you ever listen to progressive talk radio stations, watch political tv programs, or just look at forums like DU, the infighting is clearly visible.

Sorry for the sarcasm

But honestly---it is a repeated OP that is made to have other posters declare their vote.

OP is just asking DUers to vote for whoever the nominee is.

OP isn't asking DUers who they are voting for.

I don't know what "Really thread bare Op," means. Sometimes I don't get sarcasm.

to try and catch the "I'll never vote for Hillary if she is the nominee" people. It makes them an easy target for other activities if you know what I mean. Other times it's just being used to show what a Good, um Democrat they are who will blindly follow whatever cliff the Party leads them and this nation off of.

why don't we focus on the primary process, see who the nominee is, and then figure out who is voting for who?

talking about pledging the nom now is a little premature, hey?

Here's my pledge - I pledge to vote for the candidate that will best solve the real problems that this country faces, If there are no candidates that represent such a solution, I promise to keep my mouth shut about my voting habits.

I will not take a loyalty pledge. I don't make promises that I cant keep.

I will support the nominee of the Democratic Party. Has Hillary said that she would. Please provide a link to where she made that pledge.
