Chafee will try to outdo Sanders in Democratic debate.

'Chafee will likely talk about the environment, the Iraq War, and his departure from the Republican party. Fleming said he thinks it is going to be easier for Chafee to distinguish himself from Hillary Clinton than from Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

“On a lot of issues in the Senate, Bernie Sanders and Lincoln Chafee voted the same way,” Fleming said. . .

He is predicting the Democrats will sling fewer personal attacks than the Republicans, focusing more on the issues at hand.'

1. Pfui. He'll be given 5 minutes of airtime. Then immediately ignored

as he should, along with Webb.

O'Malley, Sanders and Clinton should get those airtimes.

7. Why should O'Malley get a lion's share? He's in single digits, too.

There are only going to be five people on that stage

There will be TWO hours.

I'm betting everyone will have a chance to put a good foot forward.

5. Chafee and Webb are sleepers. They're both going to pick up after the debates.

Both of them are capable legit serious candidates so they're bound to pick up a little.

Same for O'Malley.

Things are going to shift a lot. The landscape is going to change and broaden out.

8. chafee will be a good voice for progressivism

although since he has floated privatizing ss, that is a qualified opinion.

but he will be in the progressive majority with sanders and om on the big issues

and he will say pretty much anything in his understated way.

i hope they all get to to speak. with 5 candidates there is no excuse to shut anyone out.

11. I like Chafee. He's not going anywhere in the primaries but would make a good SOS.

If Sanders gets the nod. Certainly better than Hillary.
