Latest Morning Consult national Poll: HRC: 54% Bernie: 22%

•As Democratic presidential candidates prepare to take the stage tonight, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton maintains a healthy 54 percent to 22 percent lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), according to a new Morning Consult poll, up from her 21-point lead last week. If Vice President Joe Biden jumps in, Clinton would maintain a big lead with 47 percent, compared with 20 percent for Sanders and 17 percent for Biden.

To be fair an internet poll, regardless of how rigorous the controls, isn't going to create the same buzz as a traditional landline/cell phone poll. However that doesn't stop some folks from flogging them.

I would be remiss in pointing out that it is within the MOE of other recently released polls.

If Hillary drops and Bernie and others rise during this period, it will be devastating for Hillary

If there is very little change in the polls, however, it would take huge wins in Iowa and NH to blunt her momentum, which would be unlikely if the polls have been static or worse.
