Debate Moderator Anderson Cooper was a member of the Clinton Global Initiative

According to CGI, membership comes with a $20,000 donation (some complimentary memberships are also available each year). As conservative blogger Jeryl Bier pointed out, CGI’s website lists some big media names under notable past membership, including Stephanopoulos himself:

1. CNN’s Cooper Responds to Report About His Ties to Clinton Global Initiative: ‘Total Bunk’

<...>

He explained that all he did was moderate a CGI panel discussion back in 2007; he didn’t get paid, he didn’t go back to CGI, he didn’t go to any social events with the Clinton, he just moderated one panel and that was it.

For now, I'm willing to give Anderson the benefit of the doubt.

4. Also....an update from the OP link:

UPDATE — 5:04 p.m. ET: A Clinton Foundation official tells Mediaite that journalists who moderate panels and participate in CGI events are not asked to pay a membership fee.

“In fact, in 2012, we reclassified members of the media who participate as “guests” rather than “members” to acknowledge this distinction,” the official added.

It's been going on for a couple of days now, and the "pre-excuses" are all over the map: The debates are rigged in HRC's favour, the audience will be stacked with HRC supporters, all of Hillary's questions will be "softballs", BS will get less time to respond than HRC will have, etc.

For people who have been claiming for months that BS will "mop the floor" with Hillary, they don't seem very confident now that the time is at hand.

Not to mention the whole allegation in the poorly sourced OP is a deception.

Who in the debate might benefit from this clear propaganda that some at DU again are falling heart over brains for?
