100 day countdown to Iowa caucus SAT.--

.....Saturday will be the 100-day mark until the first caucus on February 1, in Iowa.

With an eye toward winning the Hawkeye State, Clinton will hold a campaign rally there in the afternoon before the state Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

She'll be joined by husband Bill for the occasion, their first time out on the trail together since her June reboot in Brooklyn, New York, and by singer Katy Perry, whose hit song 'Roar' is a favorite Clinton campaign anthem.

'It's a big moment. Historically, it's been a big moment. It's the signal we're at the home stretch, we're at the 100 days,' Palmieri said Friday of the dinner date.........

Katy Perry turns 31 on Oct. 25, and unlike her last birthday bash — the singer capped off a weeklong fete with a party for more than 70 pals in Marrakech, Morocco — she plans to go low-key this year.


..............In fact, she's making her birthday weekend about Hillary Clinton: Perry will appear at the Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Des Moines, Iowa, for the presidential candidate. She won't be the only notable name at the event. Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, will also be in attendance.

Perry tweeted about the event on Oct. 19, posting that she's "proud to stand" with the presidential nominee.

On Thursday, in the midst of testifying at the Benghazi committee, Clinton was captured on camera greeting an unidentified man and asking, "Are you gonna come to my Katy Perry concert?" He replied, "I hope so," to which Clinton said, "I hope so, too."

The singer tweeted a support message for the Democratic hopeful late Thursday evening after the hearing had finished: "Glad the witch hunt is coming to an end and we can refocus on the future of [America]. I admire your unbreakable strength @HillaryClinton #youaboss.".....................
