Chuck Todd Attacks Elijah Cummings For Refusing To Participate In GOP Benghazi Witch Hunt

It looks like Chuck Todd got the same set of talking points as Fox's Chris Wallace on the Republican Benghazi witch hunt, because they sure looked like they were reading off of the same script this Sunday. Wallace hosted an entire panel segment whining about why the Democrats gave Clinton a pass during the hearing this week, and NBC's Chuck Todd went after the ranking Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings for exactly the same thing.

9. Just to zero in a little bit on why Tim Russert despised the Clintons

He did so because Jack Welch (GE) despised both Clinton and Gore for violations of the Clean Water Act. GE was fined millions. NBC was formerly owned by GE, and Tim Russert was in the business of serving his corporate master, as we see so often done in today's media world, so naturally he too hated Clinton and Gore. This was readily apparent even to a blind man during Election 2000 when we often heard Gore humiliated by asinine remarks emanating the airwaves.

Welch was determined Gore would not win the Presidency, and he didn't care what he had to say to adversely impact that. Thus the 2000 Election was a win at all costs to the Republicans.

All that aside, I totally agree with your assessment of Chuck Todd.

MSNBC was purchased by a company owned by a Republican. I would guess that with Fox slipping deeper into craziness, they are trying to neutralize the competition and set up less radical cable outlet.
