The ability, in the presence of actual evidence, for someone to cling to their hearsay points of view on candidates, is quite illuminating.
It's as though you're not even there speaking with them. You say something to refute them. They go off on another tangent or ramble on nonsensically about things that have nothing to do with anything and frequently don't even make complete sentences or ideas.
It is, to paraphrase Barney Frank, like talking to a dining room table.

It is like asking someone about two menu items at McDonalds. One will be less a lesser of two evils choice. That doesn't mean you really want to eat at McDonalds.
