There are many posters here who don't realize that they are probably hurting their cause and their candidate with this type of crap.
In one thread I even asked if maybe they were actually working for the other side, meaning the other Dem candidate. They managed to turn that into an alert saying I was accusing people of being Republicans and got my post hidden on a 4-3 vote.
I've been here almost 15 years and used to have 2-3 people in Ignore; now it's more like 30-40.

Kosovo was a limited military action with UN support.

Afghanistan initially was a limited military action with UN support to get the perps of 9/11.

Nothing about the Iraq War was just, right, or appropriate. It was a major invasion of a sovereign nation. We did not have UN support. There were never any WMD's. Iraq was not responsible in any way, shape, or form for 9/11.

Sorry, your candidate voted and pimped it because she either agreed with the neocon Bush admin, she was naive and ignorant, or she did it for political expediency. Every one of those choices shows she is NOT qualified to be the Commander in Chief of this nation.

However, it is important to compare context and the actual situations & outcomes.

Kosovo, by all accords, was a limited engagement that achieved the goals set forth for it. UN support was granted. Genocide was stopped, and the causalities were far more limited. Planning and foresight abounded, and the positive outcomes that were predicted occurred.

Iraq, by all accords, was a massive invasion that not only did not achieve a single goal but caused untold atrocities on both sides. No perps of 9/11 were found there or brought to justice. There were no WMD. The causalities were astounding from our military to the 100,000's dead in the civilian population. The military was not prepared. Soldiers received inadequate resources and stop-gaps became a way of life. I know fellow vets who served so many tours of duty in Iraq that they will never be sane again. The horror & destruction they witnessed is astounding. These negative consequences were predicted and some were smart enough and honorable enough to speak out before this unsanctioned invasion occurred.

Yes, my candidate showed wise judgement and rational moderation in both instances.

Your candidate was either snookered by Bush, believed in Bush's neocon agenda, or beat the drums of war for political expediency. None of those show sound judgement and should completely disqualify her as Commander in Chief.

I don't want a Dove for president, however, I also don't want a stupid, opportunistic, and neocon hawk either.

Thank you for epitomizing your clan and the hard-edged, judgmental "I'm better than you" divisiveness that has come to characterize the supporters of Sanders here at DU.

I really like Bernie, but I cannot stomach the shamelessness of his supporters here.

Voting for Clinton would require me to hold my nose and search my soul for justification. But the DU Sanders crowd makes me think twice about this primary season. Gratefully, I can easily rise about the hate and view Sanders without the feces-stained lens provided by the locals.

in 2007 in a war that Hillary Clinton, as Senator, voted for while invoking 9-11, the war that all the Dems who supported it legitimated by making it bipartisan, embarking the party on a quest to start liking war again, to think that they could do it RIGHT with "lessons learned" from Iraq, the war that gave us IS (though she also poured money and arms into the Khaleejis funding them back when we liked proto-IS)

the picture that's been repeated 4,490 other times, plus thousands of times more with the post-combat suicides, and a million times over in Iraq itself?

The defensiveness of the HRC crowd is striking. They have all the money, all the political structure, all of the built-in advantages of who their candidate is married to... yet they really do have serious doubts about their candidate... and for good reason. The Iraq War vote WASN'T a mistake. And HRC is lying when she said that it was... it was a cold, calculated, morally indefensible political maneuver. And she refused, even in 2008, to admit that it was wrong. So, not only hideous bad judgement, but fundamental dishonesty.

We should be looking at that photo, and thousands like it, every day and remember those who went along with this travesty.
