How many people are really worried?

This morning I've seen a distressing number of "Now I'm worried" or "The Obama Campaign is in trouble" posts in response to Ryan's speech. Setting aside the fact whatever reaction occurs is short term (Sarah Palin gave a stem-winder o a speech four years ago), it's still Mitt romney on the top of the ticket. So, who's REALLY wortied, and why?

Work, walk, talk.

Volunteer, knock on doors, register voters.

Robme/R-ayn/Rove may steal it if complacency prevails.

wasn't exactly honest and that the media (even new republic) are calling him out on his BS. Also, the expectation was his speech would knock it out of the ballpark. It didn't. And tonight Nitt will speak. Wowie
So cheer up! The DNC is right around the corner.
One more thing: I think this was the worst RNC EVER!!

I loathed Sarah Palin. LOATHED her! She stood up there and gave her speech and lied and lied and just spewed nasty vile crap like it was nothing. But the media lapped her up and declared her the best thing ever and talked about how she was going to change the whole race. Sarah Palin worried me. I wanted to believe America would wake up to her stupidity (thanks again, Katie and Charlie and Tina!), but I was worried. Ryan stood up there and lied and spewed more vile crap, but the media didn't roll over for him. Not completely, anyway. And it didn't even seem like he got his base fired up and frothing at the mouth, which Sarah did so well.

So ... I don't know. I'm still worried about the money and the lies. But I'm a helluva lot less worried today. And with only tonight (and Mitt and the secret speaker) left, I'm less inclined to worry that the convention is going to be a game changer.

On the other hand, I have some pretty high expectations that the Democratic Convention, with Clinton, Obama and a handful of other exciting speakers, will start moving the President's numbers away from Mitt, slowly but surely. We'll see.

Let's calm down and proceed to help GOTV.

ask me again when the next job report comes out.

Ask me again after the Democratic convention. If the economy stays the same or worsens, I'll be worried. But even if the economy improves, but the president gets no bounce from the convention, I'll start to worry.

The Republicans always get a post-convention boost.

I'm just happy that SOME in the media are calling out Paul Ryan for his lies!!

I like the way the electoral map looks, and I like to think there's still enough intelligent, honest people in this country to see through the pomposity and sliminess of the GOP.

We still have our convention, and the debates. Brighter days are ahead. KEEP WORKING!!
