2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumLet's be honest, Obama isn't just undoing 8 years of bad policy...
He's undoing 30 years of bad policy. This goes beyond George W. Bush and stretches all the way back to the 1980s. We didn't get into this mess over night and we certainly won't get out of it overnight. But it will happen if we keep working to make it happen. And that's all that matters. I support Pres. Obama because I know he's got us on the right course and will keep us on the right course and, in 2017 when he leaves office, we'll be far better off than we are today and we were four years ago.
But this is a process and a struggle. Which is why I'm not disappointed with Obama because I knew, from day one, this was going to be tough. And it has been tough. Still, with all the struggles and setbacks, I feel better about this country's future than I did four years ago. I believe we will come back - but not if we go back to the same, failed policies that Romney is advocating.
That's the catch. You want America to prosper? Well only one candidate can get us there ... and his name isn't Mitt Romney.

(37,453 posts)I couldn't wait until Reagan was gone. Republicans held us back we spent countless treasure on failed military schemes and projects that enriched the GOP and their friends.
Obama has come from (us) Hell, even Bill has, they didn't have shit growing up, they are the products of a failed marriages and stepfathers....they are so close to the bottom rungs of society they know....if you see aloofness its because closeness to it hurts. they believe in opening the door for advancement. The country must go forward, people must go forward thats how we all succeed.

We were on target to wipe out the debt until we got stuck with "W. stands for stupid". Two wars on our credit card have made things difficult.
