(9,791 posts)The name on my driver's license and voter registration card now match. As long as the voting machine isn't messed with and altered I'll be at least one vote for the Prez!

(4,452 posts)It never ceases to amaze me the blinders some people wear in their view of the world. Although the ID might be free it takes time to perform the function. If you have to take time off work to do it that's a cost. If you need to obtain the supporting documents to prove who you are, that's another cost. What if the supporting documents no longer exist? Considering the absolutely infinitesimal documented occurrences and the high criminal penalties, why would you force 10% of the population to jump through hoops to exercise their constitutional rights?
Simply put, the logic behind the argument for voter ID is not valid and any thinking, reasoning person understands that without considerable thought.
