Props to Joe Biden. He won a lot of votes for their ticket with his speech.

I know of quite a few white, over 40 people who -- for whatever reason (and we know some of them, and they ain't pretty) -- wouldn't vote for Obama.

They were, however, very impressed with the Vice President's speech, so much so that they'll use their appreciation for Joe Biden as the excuse to vote for the Obama|Biden ticket.

Now, to get them to vote a straight Democratic ticket. Actually, for these rather low-information voters, that is simply easier for them to do anyway.

I don't have much hope of them opening their hearts and minds so much that they release their racism and bigotry...not at their age. But if we get four more years and a Dem majority, at least we can truly move forward with policies that make this country more progressive...and humane.

We'll still have to stay on the Democrats to do the right thing, of course. Getting them into office as the majority is just the first part of this battle.

Joe Biden is a definite asset to this campaign, especially with his convention speech, no matter how the right tries to paint him as otherwise.

Way to rub Romney's nose in forgetting to mention them!

Their mantra that they're the only party who supports the troops was shot to hell with the contrast of these two conventions.

I'm not letting anyone forget it. "How can you vote for a party whose presidential nominee didn't even mention Afghanistan or Iraq and the sacrifice of our troops?"

I could list a whole lotta other batshit craziness, but that suffices in many cases.

Like they did in 2008. They need him and Clinton to appeal to those types.

I can't think of when we've had a better President/Vice President team.

He told a touching story on Ed's radio show of how to this day Joe Biden still stops in at the fire department that was dispatched when his first wife and baby were killed.

Joe stops in with coffee and thanks them for what they did.
How could anyone not love our VP?
