I'm not jumping to conclusions about this incident either. I doubt Bernie himself had anything to do with it. It sure doesn't sound like it was a campaign strategy. I'll see how it plays out.

of new names and addresses of any of the candidates. They kept notifying the DNC that the Sanders data was open to everyone because of the security problem. Nothing was ever done about it until the Sanders guy in charge of Sanders data looked at HRC's data like everyone could look at all the new people that Bernie had signed up.

Did the person doing the firing also do the hiring? (It's difficult for me to imagine that similar questions would not be asked if this was about Hillary's campaign.)

I don't doubt that. But I as an HRC supporter, am not going to attribute any malfeasance to Bernie at this point.
Already I'm watching not all Bernie supporters ™ try to spin this into some kind of conspiracy between the dnc and HRC.
I'm going to see how it plays out, I don't think it was hacked, sounds like there was an error by the data collection company and several of Bernie's staffers took advantage of it briefly and now he's fired one of them. He's going to have a press conference. But expect more information to come out.

Exactly. There's no "conspiracy" here.

The overreaction of Bernie's fans certainly does have the effect of throwing gasoline on embers and making it appear as though they're desperately trying to cover something up. They're not helping, and they have only themselves to blame.

But expect more information to come out.

I do. We'll have to patient and see what happens.

Staffer does something he wasn't supposed to do, gets caught, gets fired.

But of course, some of us couldn't just let it go there and had to get up on our crosses and declare this to be yet another damned conspiracy.

Except that DWS decided to try to shut out all of the Bernie Sanders campaign's access after the guy was already fired.

It should be pretty simple. The DNC simply wants assurances that the Sanders campaign doesn't have other candidates proprietary info. The Sanders campaign could put this away pretty fast.
