2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumOn a scale of 1 to Apocalypse, what would happen if HRC campaign had breached data?
On DU, let alone the media pundits. Yikes! DU would be calling for her immediate suspension and the pity party would be GINORMOUS!
If there's a chance one of the 4 staffers has an Excel document containing HRC modeling data it is suspension-worthy.
I demand a full investigation.

(28,270 posts)and all Hillary's fault, to be sure!
But its Bernies campaign that did it so...its the evvvvvil DNC's fault of course.

(12,958 posts)It is a blatant act of corruption to deny Bernie Sanders' campaign access to voter files. If there was a breach of security due to the inept ability of the DNC to protect their candidates' and citizens' information that is the DNC's fault, NOT the Sanders' campaign. She won't be able to the lid back on it this time.

Use the phrase "stacking the deck", then you can be accurate.
Although, as a poker player, I just realized "stacking the deck" is cheating

(10,125 posts)Probably you and most certainly I never had sex with Monica in the Oval office.
In April 2015, Hillary said: We need to get unaccountable money out of our political system.

Have you seen the dollars going into her campaign and the Clinton Foundation and the mining or arms entities that seemed to benefit.
Probably you and most certainly I didn't make Hillary accept that money or get involved with these people.
Probably you and most certainly I didn't make her use a personal server at home while she was Secretary of State.
Neither of us falsely claimed Bosnian snipers shot at us or that we were "integral" to the Irish peace process when the media was trying to find some relevant foreign policy experience in 2008.
Without exaggeration, I could make this list more than 1000 items long. Bill and Hillary need to take more responsibility for their own lies, flip-flops, shady activities, etc. If they ever do that, maybe the media wouldn't be so intent on ravaging them. And that is a big problem with having Hillary as the Democratic candidate: because it isn't just the Republicans who hate her - there are a bunch in the media who would love to fry her. And with the volume of material they've got on her, odds are, they will.

(11,366 posts)After spending months yawning about her private and unsecure server that any middle schooler could hack.
Apparently, that's no longer news to the MSM, but I, for one, want to know if it was hacked and what national security information was accessed. Clinton's server didn't have the layers of security that the federal government has. When their servers were hacked, it was easily discovered after some personnel files were breached, but no national security secrets were accessed. We don't know what was accessed on that private server.

We probably would not have heard about this incident except, maybe on a few obscure Internet sites.
Just how slimy the DNC's action are is going to shock and wake up a lot of people. The defense of this sliminess on this forum should make anyone horrified.

(25,348 posts)...because the republicans lie, cheat and steal so much that what either Hillary or Sanders has done (or probably) will do, is so minor as to be one-big-yawn.
When Hillary was having the "Servergate" I kept thinking...."Ok..what's for supper?"
vorgan24
(50 posts)Hillary is using a legal email server and Sanders supporters attacks her over it, echoing Republican sentiments and giving quasi-support to their tax-dollar wasting witch hunt - A witch hunt, that I might add, that one of the head Republicans for the investigation admitted was mainly to make her look bad this election.
Sanders camp accessed HRC data, Sanders supporters go "Hey, no! Don't pay attention to this! Look at how many laws Hillary broke with her email server! We've got bipartisan support on this, we're not the only ones who believe this, she MUST have done SOMETHING wrong!!!"
I'm also loving how quick a few were to jump to conspiracy theories, saying that Mrs. Clinton pulled some strings, or something, to set the Sanders campaign up.
In any event, we already know what would happen if it was the HRC camp that did the data breach - We'd get a repeat of the faux worthy email 'scandal'. Given that we've already got some conspiracy theories floating around about this case being a setup, I wouldn't be surprised if someone did the mental gymnastics necessary to say that she set herself up for something something whatever.
