I refuse to speculate on what happened in datagate

I will be interested to know what happened, if and when that information becomes available.

Meanwhile, I can surmise that no one (I repeat: no one) posting here knows any more than I do, which is next to nothing. Anybody expecting to learn anything by reading the steer manure posted in this forum will be disappointed.

Those of you in Camp Weathervane expecting -- or just hoping -- for Senator Sanders to be charged with a crime are no doubt going to be very disappointed. Statements such as "{Bernie} got caught cheating; get over it" (yes, I actually saw that as a post title the other day) are smearing the candidate by conflating him with the actions of a campaign staffer who is no longer with the campaign. Since we had a little public disagreement about the meaning of the word smear two or three weeks ago, the word (as a verb in the progressive tense) is used properly in this paragraph.

Anybody expecting -- or just hoping -- for Mrs. Clinton to be charged with a crime will probably be equally disappointed.

None of us really know what happened. If you to discuss anything, please discuss issues.

Sanders with a crime, it is more reasonable this over zealous staff member authorized himself to breach the data and Sanders knew nothing of the decision nor did he authorize the breach.

Yes, I agree to a moratorium on baseless speculation and "wild CT allegations" -- tho some
might argue i'm already guilty of both.

but No, I don't agree to a blanket moratorium on any discussion, especially if someone wants
to post an OP with any new information that sheds more light on DataGate.

We all have our conscious and unconscious biases that might affect what we are being told.
In my working life, the best asset was to be able to sort the wheat from the chaff. I think the same skills need to be applied in this situation.
Since we don't know the facts, we can only speculate based on our own interpretations of the risk/benefit of all the possible scenarios.
