Important Editorial: Hillary Clinton Should Withdraw Now!

Clinton Cannot Win Nomination for President

by
H. A. Looserman

By now, it must be obvious to Democratic Candidate Hillary Clinton that she has no chance of becoming the Democratic nominee for President. Based on selected online polls, she is clearly not the choice of The American People™. Bernie Sanders is obviously the presumptive candidate at this point, a month before the Iowa primary caucuses and other February primary elections.

Corporate polling, of course, paints a different picture, but real voters know better. Ask yourself this: "Have I ever been polled by a phony corporate polling company?" The answer is clearly no. You've voted multiple times in online polls, though, conducted after a debate. You know the truth. I know the truth. I am a political pundit who has published articles in prominent places, such as Huffington Post, after all.

Given the obvious facts, it is time, I believe, for Hillary Clinton to withdraw from this campaign. By continuing, she is only perpetuating the false hopes of the majority of Democratic voters. Why would she do that? And Bill Clinton. That should not be forgotten, either. He's no better than a philandering sex addict, after all. Why would anyone vote for a wife who stuck with him after his serial misdeeds?

By withdrawing now, Ms. Clinton will escape the criticism she is sure to face from Republicans and the humiliation of having no delegates supporting her at the Democratic Nominating Convention. Why would she put herself through all that after all? If she pulls out now, she'll skip all the mess and confusion and let the choice of The American People™, Bernie Sanders, run in November. He'll be the nominee anyhow, so why not cut her losses now? I mean, really...

As the most knowledgeable political pundit writing today on a variety of important Internet websites, I'm just giving her the advice her campaign team should be giving her. Withdraw now, Hillary! Save yourself the embarrassment of a certain defeat at the convention. Listen to The American People™, for goodman's sake and do what you know you need to do.

In 2016, Bernie Sanders Will Defeat Clinton and Dominate Trump to Become President
Posted: 01/01/2016 10:56 am

On November 8, 2016 Bernie Sanders will achieve a dominant victory over Donald Trump. Already, Sanders defeats Trump in the polls by a wider margin than Hillary Clinton, as illustrated in a December 22, 2015 Hill article titled "In blockbuster poll, Sanders destroys Trump by 13 points":
Stop the presses! According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University on Tuesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) destroys Republican candidate Donald Trump in a general election by 13 percentage points. In this new poll, Sanders has 51 percent to Trump's 38 percent.
If this margin held in a general election, Democrats would almost certainly regain control of the United States Senate and very possibly the House of Representatives.
It is noteworthy that in this Quinnipiac poll, Sanders runs so much stronger than Clinton against Trump...

In the December 22 poll, Bernie Sanders defeats Trump by 13 points, while Clinton beats Trump by 7 points.

There are numerous reasons Bernie Sanders will achieve this dominant victory over a billionaire xenophobe who panders to the fears and base passions of conservatives. First, Bernie Sanders warns against the influence of money and power in politics, and "welcomes the hatred" of the billionaire class that Trump personifies. Sanders won the Congressional Award from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, while Trump insulted Vietnam Veteran and former POW John McCain. There are a great many other reasons that I'll highlight in the future, when Sanders becomes the Democratic nominee. Overall, Bernie Sanders genuinely cares about ending wealth inequality and perpetual wars, while Trump is a buffoon who's spent most of his time making headlines for outrageous statements.

Most importantly, Sanders is the antithesis of Trump and gives voters a stark contrast in choice; not so with Hillary. POLITICO writes that Clinton "received donations from both him and son Donald Trump Jr. on separate occasions in 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007, according to state and federal disclosure records." You'll never get a Clinton supporter to address these donations, or why Trump once felt it would be advantageous to become one of Clinton's donors.

Trump also gave $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation, in either a moment of pure altruism, or another campaign donation akin to Clinton's foreign donor scandal.

While the recent Quinnipiac poll shows Clinton defeating Trump, the underlying data shows that generally, Americans don't trust the former Secretary of State. 59 percent of American voters believe Clinton is "not honest and trustworthy...

If I type in a letter and try to go back to place an accent mark over the letter the letter gets erased.

In the future instead of writing tete- a- tete I will just copy and paste tête-à-tête.

As an aside here is tête-à-tête written without accent marks:

Putin hosts PM Modi for private tete-a-tete; to hold talks today
http://preview.tinyurl.com/jykw6f8

Would you agree we seem to be mired in the picayune?

P.S.

Tete-a-tete (pronounced tet-uh-tet) comes from the French tête-à-tête, which translates literally to head to head. In English, we use it mainly as (1) a noun meaning a private conversation between two people, (2) an adjective meaning involving two people conversing in private, and (3) an adverb meaning done in private between two people.

These are its conventional meanings, anyway. The phrase is also sometimes used to mean a match or competition between two people, and it’s sometimes used to refer to meetings or conversations that are not necessarily private or limited to two people.

We usually italicize loanwords and loan phrases that are new to English, but tete-a-tete has been in English for at least three centuries, so it usually goes unitalicized in normal use.

The phrase sometimes appears in English texts with the French accent marks. English speakers are not kind to these marks, though, and the anglicized, unaccented form is much more common.

Any day spent fishing is far better than any day spent working. That much is certain.

I don't take Goodman very seriously - like I said, he's pretty much an outlier. But people (including Goodman) are entitled to their opinions, which one can take or leave. I also suspect some people are reccing or citing Goodman on the basis of the articles' headlines and haven't actually read the entire articles. I support Bernie because of what he is doing and saying, not because of the opinions or commentary of anybody else - including the denizens of DU, pro or con.

Confidentially, the only visits to that website come from DU and do nothing for its owner. It exists only as a holding place for writers of satirical material. I thought that was obvious. Clicks, in themselves, have zero value to anyone.

I had another buddy, Air Force, again, must be a coincidence, or maybe they figured out it's the best way to avoid fighting in a rice paddy or getting too close to the enemy. He took the aptitude test and was promised he could learn to become a flight mechanic. After he enlisted they made him a chef. He was so distraught that he went to the Chaplain. The Chaplain instructed him to give it a chance. He actually ended up liking it and made a killer lasagna.
