I'm starting to get pissed off, that we are accused of being abusive. What was and is being posted in a thread in GD is what is truly fucking abusive.

callouts are only bad when feminists do it (and especially when they don't use names, like other groups do.)

It's not abusive to call a survivor a liar and other harmful things, it is abusive to tell that person that it's callous to say so.

After the guy who said white men were only with black women to "conquer" them this summer and got like 300 recs - I vomited in my mouth a little.

Then I found out MLK was actually a white man who fought for labor rights per DU - and I think I had a minor stroke.

Rape doesn't happen - and women make more money than men - those gave me a nervous tick.

But when I see such petty vicious vindictive bullshit I just feel nothing. That's a quality and extent of horses ass that is beyond comprehension.

If being (mis)-labeled "bullies" merely for standing up for gender, race, and sexual orientation equality, and more specifically the rights of women, well then I'll wear that label proudly. You are quite right about the callousness demonstrated towards a brave victim of sexual violence and none of us intends to sit by silently as they are re-victimized by their cruel comments.

Just why the hell is it that anyone with two brain cells to rub together in order to form a thought know intuitively that crapping on people of color or LGBT people isn't acceptable anywhere on DU but when it comes to crapping on women hell, DU has a whole group dedicating itself to that and it's a regular staple in the Lounge that's supposed to be welcoming to everyone. Are the women of DU supposed to be GRATEFUL when people "stick up" for us non-penis wearing folk when they say that shit shouldn't be in GD, but hey, perfectly fine for other places on DU and be happy to join in the objectifying in those places.
